There are not many artists that could capture the beauty and essence of the Yacht. Michael Frith certainly does. His paintings and sketches deliver true, vivid images of a collection of Yachts, allowing the observer to nearly be there, in the thick of it.

The book itself contains over 40 paintings and sketches on high quality watercolour paper plus text on high quality art paper.

Each book is hand bound with rich mahogany coloured leather spine and corners, ribbon head and tail bands and a specially designed slipcase. Both slipcase and binding echo the character, style and quality of the classic yacht.

Foreword by Harry Spencer MBE, and an essay by Dan Houston, editor of Classic Boat magazine is then followed by a collection of quotes from sailing enthusiasts.

Michael Frith has worked for most national newspapers worldwide and currently illustrates the Profile piece every week in the Sunday Times. His paintings form part of many public and private collections including The National Portrait Gallery, The Bank of England and L.I.F.F.E.

This very special limited edition book (only 1000 produced) will be signed and numbered by Michael Frith. 160 pages, 297 x 420mm landscape (A3) will surely delight. If you cannot get out onto the waves, maybe this is the next best thing. £400 plus p&p from www.spotred.co.uk
