Electric powered machines and style don’t always go hand in hand, but the battery powered Zero X makes a pretty good fist of it.
Ghostly silent and gearless, the Zero is cult amongst bikers in Europe and US. It’s green credentials are good (if you forget about how it’s electrical charge is generated).
A simple design keeps this motorcycle’s weight down to a minimum – a mere 150lb frame 25% lighter than similar petrol powered machines.
Top speed is 60mph with 30mph reached in two seconds. So it’s zippy without hair on fire top speeds.
The price is a very reasonable £5,500 ($7,750).
