The Balé Hotel, Luxury Retreat in Nusa Dua Bali Review

As soon as you step foot inside The Balé its tranquil ambience envelops your mind, body and soul. Away from the hustle and bustle of Nusa Dua and neighbouring areas, The Balé is positioned as an exclusive luxury retreat for couples only to indulge in (children under 16 years of age are not allowed, which suited us perfectly!).

Boasting minimalist features and sculpture-like architecture, this rare hidden gem haven is coupled with the sound of blissfully running water that softens its surroundings, and truly a place where you can enjoy pure refinement during the entirety of your stay.

Our private one bedroom spa villa with infinity pool and 24hrs butler service was absolutely outstanding – and when we say private, we mean private! The layout of the villa ensured we weren`t overlooked in the slightest and incorporated stunning areas inside and out designed for total relaxation.

It was fully equipped with everything we could ever want, and more, including a beautifully comfortable king size bed and satellite TV (including international and local channels), CD, VCD and MP3 Player and yet another TV opposite our oversized bath in the bathroom! We could choose to use our inside or outside shower should we want to and DVD players were also available upon request.

A nice touch in each deluxe villa is the complimentary mini bar including homemade cookies, fresh fruit, tea and coffee making facilities and a selection of soft drinks. We also loved the fact you could order breakfast from the á la carte menu in your room from 7am until 11am (last orders at 10.30am). The extensive breakfast menu is fresh, exciting and absolutely delicious, and we recommend the After Dark
tea and `Push Up` or `Lifter` fruit juices.

Anthony Li, is the Jakarta based architect who can be thanked for the hotel`s expression of beauty. It`s true to say its contemporary architecture and design radiates elegant simplicity and understated luxury, enhancing the overall feeling of serenity.

On site the hotel has a well-equipped gym and gorgeous spa facilities including jacuzzi and sauna, which are complimentary for guests to use but treatments are an additional cost as you would expect.

However, should you want to venture out of your private villa then you can enjoy a round of golf at The Bali Golf and Country Club, which is located just 500 metres away from the hotel and it was awarded one of Asia’s best golf courses by Fortune Magazine USA or you can choose to relax at The Bale`s private beach club at Geger Beach with butler facilities and free transfers to and from the hotel. If shopping and eating is more your thing then you can also get a free transfer from the hotel to Bali Collection, which is a new shopping complex, although if you`re looking for upmarket authentic cuisine it’s not the place for you.

In our opinion The Balé is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy quality relaxation in blissful romantic paradise surroundings, and given half the chance we`d be back there like a shot!
