In Japan there is a harmonious balance between the people and nature, and so this inspired the name Hibiki Japanese Harmony, a reflection of Japanese culture. Hibiki Japense Harmony is an elegant harmoniously balanced blend of the finest whiskies straight from the House of Suntory Whisky, incorporating 10 malt and grain whiskies, aged in five types of casks, from the three Suntory distilleries.

The delicate yet elegant mixture creates a harmonious, pure and yet somehow simultaneously complex blend creating a harmony of flavour and aromas. When approached about the new Suntory Hibiki Japanese Harmony Whisky, the third generation master blender and descendant of the original Suntory Whisky founder, Shingo Torii and fourth Chief Blender, Shinji Fukuyo commented on their developments saying:

“In philosophy and making, Hibiki Japanese Harmony is the new dawn of Hibiki, optimizing the same key malt and grain whiskies from the original Hibiki blend. I envisioned a luminous harmony of avours and aromas. A pure and simultaneously complex harmony that was at the core of every Hibiki blend.”

The new Hibiki Japanese Harmony uses the same magnificent key malt and grain whiskies from the almost two decade old original Hibiki blends. With an American White Oak to create a solid base, a rare Mizunara (Japanese) Oak and Sherry cask malt whiskies for the dressing, and smoky malt whiskies are subtle accents to give both the depth and complexity of the drink, while Chita grain whiskies act as the Dashi (Broth). This fine complex mixture creates the fine and flawless whisky known as Hibiki Japanese Harmony.

High expectations are to come from such a fine whisky and with oodles of fantastic heritage behind the Suntory name. Having sampled this whisky, we are confident this will be one of their most popular offerings to date.
