JW Steakhouse – The Best Steakhouse in London….Easily

I confess, I have been to JW Steakhouse a few times. JW Steakhouse is located on Park Lane and is part of Grosvenor House, a JW Marriot hotel that oozes class and high society.

The Steakhouse is a little more formal – It`s a Steakhouse! Certainly a place to enjoy one of London`s finest steaks and other impressive dishes, as well as a very cool bourbon bar. This is one of my favourite places in London.

Always welcoming, the staff here are excellent. Each time, the waiters accommodate every requirement and their knowledge of the American USDA prime beef cuts is impressive. This time around, we were served by the marvellous Miguel who really made the night for us.

To start, I chose the smoked salmon (perfect!) whilst my partner opted for the lump crab cakes, which never stood a chance. We had been hitting the London shops all day and appetities were huge.

We had come to the right place.

For the main course, we both went for steaks. Having been here before, we knew how good the steaks are. If you are not a huge carnivore, there`s plenty of other fab dishes on offer.

As you would expect (yet so many other restaurants continually get it wrong) when You order your steak specifically cooked, at JW Steakhouse it will always come that way. Every time.

What you get is perfectly cooked steaks that are wonderfully tender and simply delicious. Add in some really great sides (we went for the `slaw and grilled asparagus), you get a meal so well cooked, it would rival any restaurant worth its salt.

The prices are more than reasonable, considering the prestige location and quality of produce. At this point, I`m ready to pass judgement and give JW Steakhouse 10/10.

Then along comes dessert.

There is really only one choice here (well, there`s more than one choice, but only one contender for my true affections), and that is the most amazing cheesecake you are likely to sample.

JW Steakhouse`s cheesecake is a huge portion of pudding perfection. It is a complete cheesecake with the base rising up the full height of the sides. It looks stunning and tastes even better.

So forget 10/10, we have gone far beyond that. JW Steakhouse really is the best steakhouse in London, for its food, staff, location, prices and that cheesecake.

JW Steakhouse is the place to go for an authentic steakhouse experience. As well as the superior steaks they serve crisp salads and fresh seafood perfectly matched with great wines and the best cheesecake in London!
