One of London`s finest hotels, Grosvenor House, has introduced a new package to celebrate its rich history with America.

Grosvenor House`s Transatlantic package provides the ultimate Anglo-American adventure in the heart of London, allowing guests to explore this special relationship through the years.

The building was originally inspired by American architecture, with owner Mr. A.O. Edwards specifically designing it for the transatlantic market.

For three luxurious nights, guests will reside in a deluxe room, commencing every day with a full English Breakfast. Dinner for two in the hotel`s American inspired restaurant, JW Steakhouse is also included. JW Steakhouse is considered one of London`s leading steakhouses and the menu features the finest cuts of USDA Prime Corn Fed Kansas Beef, Maryland style crab cakes and sides including bourbon sweet potato mash with a marshmallow crust.

Guests will be invited to join an American Civil War walking tour through the streets of Piccadilly, Mayfair and Marylebone, guided by Dr. Tom Sebrell, a resident academic at Queen Mary`s University London with a PhD in the American Civil War in Britain. April 2011 marks the start of the American Civil War Sesquicentennial and this represents a rare opportunity to explore the wealth of surviving London locations with crucial Civil War links.

Next on the schedule is a visit to the Imperial War Museum, London, founded during the First World War in 1917 as a record of the war effort and sacrifice of Britain and her Empire. The package includes entrance to the Churchill War Rooms, an underground complex that served as a British government command centre throughout the Second World War.

The transatlantic package will be priced midweek from £379 per night, based on a 3 night stay, and weekends £307 per night, based on 3 night stay. This includes three night`s accommodation in a deluxe room, English breakfast daily for two, one dinner for two in JW Steakhouse, entrance to the Imperial War Museum and Churchill War Rooms and a guided American Civil War walking tour which commence at 3pm & 7pm on Tuesdays – Sundays. A private guided tour of Churchill War Rooms can be arranged as part of the package additionally priced from £200.
