I am a huge fan of Heston Blumenthal. Whilst his dishes appear completely impossible to replicate, I am always mesmerised by the theatre.
Whether it’s edible cutlery, giant wobbly absinthe jelly or the classic bacon and eggs ice cream – I have been intrigued to know whether Mr Blumenthal’s food tastes as exquisite as it looks.
As the Fat Duck holds the title of second best restaurant in the world you would certainly hope so.
Anyway, it’s with this in mind that I’m hoping to pay a visit to the Fat Duck later on this year. I have no doubt we won’t see any change out of £200 ($300) per head, but life is short and sometimes you have to just give these things a whirl to satisfy curiosity.
