Renowned architect Rafael Vicoly has recently overseen one of the finest luxury apartment schemes in South America.
Named Edificio Acqua and situated in Punta del este (Uruguay), this dramatic development is Rafael Vicoly’s first completed project in his home country after 25 years.
The quality of design and construction is extremely high and it will introduce an unprecedented architectural refinement to the Uruguayan luxury property market. It features a clever `L` shape and abundant glazing which gives three ocean view sides, infinity pools and luxurious materials. There are 18 apartments on the market at $1-$2M – the most expensive apartments (of which there are two) are o the market at $7M.
Punta del Este is known as the `St Tropez of the Americas` and it is the new trendy destination visited by the likes of Ralph Lauren or Naomi Campbell. The complex is located in a residential neighbourhood and residents have membership to the Acqua beach club, which is a very exclusive club on the beach with VIP service and a new top Argentinian celebrity chef.
The scheme has been awarded `The Most Attractive International Project` at the 2007 SIMA (Feria de Salon Internacional de Madrid) conference, and received the Real Estate Excellence Award at FIABCI-Uruguay (Federación Internacional de Profesiones Inmobiliarias) 2007.
