New to The Swan Hotel, the Weavers House Spa opened in March 2015 creating a wonderful addition.

Weavers' House Spa

They say that first impressions count, well The Weavers House Spa certainly did just that. From entering the spa to the moment we left we were amazed by the attention to detail, spacious surroundings and no expense spared feel. The neutral décor, good use of lighting and therapeutic music created a tranquil atmosphere for all to enjoy.

Greeted with a lavish robe, slippers and towel ready to make you feel relaxed you are shown to a relaxation lounge where you are given water with cucumber, a avocado, apple and lime smoothie shot and your detailed consultation form in preparation for your treatment. From this you are able to specify what pressure you would like on your massage, what products would be best suited to your skin type and weather you wish to have your treatment with conversation or without. It’s these type of details that really separate The Weavers House Spa from many of the other spas I have been to.

For the first time ever this was the first spa retreat I have been to that has provided a thermal water massage bed easing your massage even further. After a blissful 30 minute ‘Work it Out’ massage and a 30 minute ‘Power Breakfast’ facial my bed was slowly adjusted into position where I was offered a lemon sorbet whilst receiving my personalised tips from my therapist, who suggested different products to suit my needs. My skin was left feeling revitalised and soft and my back eased of any tension.

After our treatment we were shown to a quiet room to recover where we enjoyed a pot of herbal tea and finish the experience, indulged in the vitality pool, steam room and sauna.

Unfortunately due to the time we booked our treatment this meant we had to get changed into our clothes before dining for lunch in the Swan Hotel as there was a no robe policy so we would advise if booking a lunch time treatment either eat prior to or be prepared. There is also a policy where you are only able to use the spa facilities for 2hours after your treatment.

Later that evening we indulged in a delicious three course meal at the Gallery restaurant. I especially enjoyed the Braised Lamb Shank with Creamy Mash and Spring Greens followed by the apple and cherry crumble. Portion sizes were just right and presentation was exceptional. The restaurant was very spacious and not over crowded, creating a very calm atmosphere.

A night’s stay at The Swan Hotel costs between £160-£360 depending on what room size you require. Along with the hotel the rooms are filled with character with the wooden beams showcasing its history. The room provides tea and coffee making facilities, en suite rooms and flat screen tv’s.

On this occasion we had our breakfast delivered to our rooms using the room service form. It was delivered at our chosen time and delivered piping hot. Our breakfast was also accompanied by a fresh pot of tea and additional extras such as toast, pastries and condiments.

All in all we had a fabulous stay at The Swan Hotel, the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. With a 24 hour room service you will be sure to be fully accommodated at any time. I highly recommend staying at The Swan Hotel.
