Tanner Krolle – from past to present.

Tanner Krolle`s leather craftsmanship really is an art. Furthermore, it is an art that is saturated in the most exciting Victorian heritage. The brand has been a corner stone of leather craft for over 150 years and is steeped in tradition that goes all the way back to 1856.

In the year in question, the talented master-saddler Frederick Krolle, founded his workshop near London`s St. Paul`s Cathedral. Tanner Krolle`s origins coincided with the hay day of the railway and the Grand Tour with the aim of providing travellers with a sophisticated range of handcrafted luggage. One of his most notable creations is the infamous `Portmanteau`, but he created everything from top-hat cases, Gladstone Cases, to bonnet boxes.

Also, from 1917 Tanner Krolle begun a relationship with Harrods that lasts to this very day. This relationship is one of many which goes to signify of Tanner Krolle`s luxurious credentials,

Limited Edition Antique Calf Desk Set

Tanne Krolle`s description: Inspired by leather used for a special commission in our 1920`s archive this seven piece desk set combines wood carving, dovetailed for strength and longevity, with fine leather workmanship. Each piece is hand covered in the finest antiqued calf leather with each panel bombayed and stitched with a contrast stitch highlighting. The set includes a reversible desk blotter, paper tray, letter and paper rack, business card holder, pen holder, note pad holder and letter opener. The larger pieces can be personalised with crowns and crests and initials. £3,995.00
