Vivat Bacchus Christmas Hamper Sells For £45,000

If the £20,000 ($40,000) Fortnum and Mason Tercenturian Hamper isn’t enough, you can now take a step up with the £45,000 ($90,000) Vivat Bacchus hamper.

Billed as Britain’s most expensive hamper, the contents include:

• 21 bottles of wine and spirits.

• A rare bottle of Meinert Merlot 2000. which made an appearance at Nelson Mandela’s 85th Birthday.

• A bottle of Romanée Conti 1970, at £15,000 ($30,000).

• Richard Hennesy Cognac at £2,000 ($4,000).

• 1 kg of Royal Beluga caviar and a buffalo horn spoon - £3,400 ($6,800)

• 1 leg of Spanish Joselito ham with beechwood and stainless steel stand £1,900 ($3,800).

• Various truffles and cheeses.

It has been reported that 3 hampers have already been snapped up.
