Take to the seas and experience beauty and adventure aboard the Tiger Blue – a 34 metre long Phinisi yacht constructed on a beach in South Sulawesi.  The vessel can be chartered for an amazing journey around the Indonesian archipelago.

Owned by David Wilkinson and Nigel Foster, the Tiger Blue has been a life long dream.  They had wanted to build a boat from which to dive and explore the islands of South East Asia and dreamed of their ultimate vessel – a traditional Phinisi motor sailor with modern conveniences.  Now that dream is reality and they are sharing it with the world!

Traditional in design and crafted by hand, Tiger Blue explores Indonesia’s 17, 000 islands and their unspoilt waters, beaches, coves and volcanoes throughout the year.  Guests on this amazing journey will be visiting places so few people have seen, and with a nine-strong crew including a chef, laundry boy and dive master who looks after them on and off the boat, it will be an unforgettable experience.

Tiger Blue sails at an average speed of ten knots between anchorages, and offers spacious cabins and a beautiful teak deck which is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing.  There is also a salon where guests can escape from the sun for a while and watch a DVD or read a novel from the library.  They can also enjoy a customary selection of South East Asian food and European dishes throughout their stay which is prepared with fresh fish, barbeques and curries as specialities.

There are so many activities guests have access to!  Game fishing and wakeboarding, water-skis, kayaks, snorkelling, walks on uninhabited beaches, trails to look for Komodo Dragons, visits to local villages and even volcano hikes.

From March to September Tiger Blue is based around Komodo Island, and accessible from Bali, where skipper Wouter van den Houten will lead dives and snorkels to discover the magnificent coral reefs and fish life.  December to February Tiger Blue relocates to the Raja Ampat islands in the far east of Indonesia.  This area is rumoured to have the highest diversity of coral life in the world.  Guests can look out and set their eyes on the lush jungle scenery full of animals and birds.

Tiger Blue can be chartered for a minimum of one week for up to 10 guests.  The Charter Rate’s are –

£275 per person per day based on 10 people (Beginning 1st January 2009)
Ideal for 10 adults or, if with families, up to 14 people

It sounds like an exciting and unique holiday experience that people can treasure forever.
