Recently refurbished gastro pub The Northcote is situated on the road of the same name in South West London. The moderatly sized venue is well placed to serve Clapham’s trendy locals and is always buzzing with thirsty customers.

It’s a traditional affair where visitors can enjoy a drink in a relaxed environment and check out the old fashioned comfort food on offer. The portions are generous so bring your appetite – from salmon and haddock fish cakes to slow roasted cod with peas and bacon, it’s a perfect winter destination. I enjoyed the warm goats cheese and beetroot salad whilst my companion tucked into a hearty steak and chips combo. This left me with enough room to taste their eton mess pudding- very rich and utterly delicious! The pub also has an excellent wine menu so if a pint isn’t your preferd tipple there is plenty to choose from. The staff are also extremly friendly and provide excellent service with a big smile. If you find yourself looking for place to re-fuel in Clapham this place comes highly recommended!
