Tanner Krolle’s leather craftsmanship really is an art. Furthermore, it is an art that is saturated in the most exciting Victorian heritage. The brand has been a corner stone of leather craft for over 150 years and is steeped in tradition that goes all the way back to 1856.

In the year in question, the talented master-saddler Frederick Krolle, founded his workshop near London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral. Tanner Krolle’s origins coincided with the hay day of the railway and the Grand Tour with the aim of providing travellers with a sophisticated range of handcrafted luggage. One of his most notable creations is the infamous “Portmanteau”, but he created everything from top-hat cases, Gladstone Cases, to bonnet boxes.
