It being a bit nippy day today I was delighted to try a Talisker tipple. Oh boy did it warm the cockles of my heart….

If you’re leaving a nip for Santa or sipping a dram by the fire - whisky seems to have some intrinsic Christmas qualities.

For the lead up to Christmas Talisker whisky have created a new luxury limited edition Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) Christmas gift pack, proceeds of which will go towards helping the charity save lives at sea. I have to say that this is a charity that is close to my heart and in the name of giving Santa his traditional winter warmer I shall be making a purchase.

Talisker say:

“The gift pack from Talisker, the only single malt Scotch whisky distilled on the Isle of Skye, contains a 10-year-old bottle of the award winning Scotch. This award winning whisky, which has a deliciously smoky sweetness that develops into a peppery finish, is enclosed in a stylish blue nautical themed gift pack with a unique canvas sailing label.”

From a flavour perspective it certainly delivered a smooth tickle on the taste buds….

Kirsty Templeton, Senior Brand Manager for Talisker and single malt whisky says:

“The RNLI Portree lifeboat crew on Skye plays a vital role in helping to ensure the safetly of visitors to the island and our distillery, and we are pleased to support their lifesaving work. We’re very excited about this fundraising initiative and giving whisky fans the opportunity to enjoy a Christmas gift with a difference.”
