If you’ve got a pool, a few quid burning a hole in your pocket, and you’re willing to splash out on a novel idea, get your mitts on some of these. At around £200 each these floating lamp-shaped lights add an interesting dimension to any pool.

Powered by batteries you’re quite safe from electrocution. They are also fully rechargeable so won’t cost you a great deal after you’ve bought them.
