A bit like buses, you get one whisky to try and then you get another following close behind! Will I make it out of the office today after sampling my second tipple of the day…..?

This one from Singleton is an acquired taste and packs a real punch in the flavour stakes. Must be the peaty slightly acidic water from the Spey valley…
According to Singleton this particular malt has a number of features that should make it contender for Santa’s midnight tipple!
− The Singleton™ of Dufftown, a 12 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, which delivers a smooth taste.
- Matured in American and European oak casks to produce a rich and smooth taste.
- Tasting: Sweetness and smoothness, followed by blackcurrant and delayed warmth.
- Could go with classic Christmas foods such as cheeses, dried fruits, and Christmas cake
− Research by Singleton shows that over three million people like the idea of drinking single malt Scotch whisky, but at the same time, they are concerned the taste may be too challenging. The Singleton malt certainly is one of the more palatable whiskys.
