Seven Star Luxury Safari Camp for World Cup Fans
A seven star luxury safari camp is being set up for the World Cup in South Africa next year. Camps at the Cradle of Humankind will be located in 7,500 acres of privately owned land, equal distance from the football stadiums of Johannesburg, Pretoria and Rustenburg between 10 June and 12 July 2010.
Africa specialists, cazenove+loyd are offering the camp to clients looking for the ultimate World Cup experience. Camps at the Cradle will consist of four classically styled camps, each with 12 luxury white canvas tents complete with en-suite bathrooms and 64” plasma television screens. There will also be a party and entertainment camp, where guests can watch the football matches on a video wall, or sit back on the sundowner deck with a central fire pit, overlooking the rolling hills of The Cradle.
Apart from watching the World Cup, game drives in 4x4s to see giraffes, rhinos, kudu and gemsbok and Bushmen guided walking safaris will be offered to guests during their stay. There will also be talks by an expert archaeologist on The Cradle of Humankind, a UNESCO World Heritage site containing a dozen limestone caves filled with plant and animal fossils.
The camp is being set up and run by Unchartered Africa to the same high standards of its flagship Jack’s Camp.
Camps at the Cradle of Humankind costs from £2,164 per person per night including accommodation, game drives and walking safaris, all meals and most beverages. Helicopter and chauffeur driven transfers can be arranged from the Camp to the football stadiums at an additional cost.
