Selfridge’s have done it again by releasing a truly stunning Swarovski laden bikini with a retail price of £2,000 ($3,000)
If you leave the price tag out of the equation for a minute, what you have is an incredibly beautiful piece of swimwear. I have no doubt there will be many imitations appearing at lower end retailers before long.
Encrusted with 5,000 vividly coloured Swarovski crystals the “bling-kini” as some are blithely naming it, doesn’t quite reach the pricey heights of The most expensive bikini in the world $30m by Susan Rosen. But by my reckoning Selfridge’s number is far more stylish and tasteful number.
The ‘Anita’ bikini by Pistol Panties is anticipated to fly off the shelves with Selfridges setting up what already appears to be a lengthy waiting list.
Celebrity Pistol Panties fans include Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Sarah Jessica Parker.
