The PK24 is an iconic recliner that dates back to the 1960’s. Designed by Danish designer Poul Kjaerholm and made by Fritz Hansen this beautifully aesthethic piece of furniture sells for around £6000 in it’s original form. Copies tend to retail for £900.

In it’s day the PK24 received copious accolades for it’s light weight wicker, stainless steel design which incorporates a counterweighted leather headrest.

From a personal perspective I find the curved design and raised foot level a wonderful element that is often lacking on contemporary recliners.

Check out Fritz Hansen for authorised versions and JMC Furniture for copies.
