If your New Year’s Resolution is to ‘sharpen up your look’ then undoubtedly you will have already planned your trip to Savile Row.  Whilst there, a must-do would be to visit Mark Marengo’s flagship store at number 31.  In the grand tradition of the prestigious street, he provides luxury bespoke suits, custom shirts, ties, shoes, and accessories, alongside his prêt-a-porter line.

In the store there’s a ‘gentleman’s club’ feel as Mark, who designs the suits, Neil, his brother who manages the store and the twin in-house tailors Francesca and Pio are all involved in the process.  The store offers a choice of two bespoke tailoring services for which cloth from the most esteemed British and Italian mills is used.  The premise behind Mark’s designs is to bring a contemporary twist to classic style.  He says “Being based on Savile Row I understand the value of traditional techniques but I also feel that fashion should continually evolve. At Mark Marengo we have paired the philosophies of past and present style to create elegant, chic and, fundamentally, wearable menswear.”

Suit prices start from £500.  For more information visit www.markmarengo.com
