You’re looking at an £1,800 bottle of one of the finest Cognac money can buy.

It’s been inspired by the legend of Napoleon’s personal signet rings, which he bestowed upon army commanders to reward noble acts of service this crystal decanter is created by leading French crystal house, Baccarat.

The cognac itself brings together over 100 rare ‘eaux de vie’ from Grande Champagne and Borderies; the most exclusive crus in the Cognac region.  Very old eaux de vie from the beginning of the 20th century is blended with eaux de vie from the 21st century.  The result offers a rich array of complex, enticing and well-matured flavours that ignite the senses with centuries of originality.  Exquisite aromas of sandalwood and cigar leaves are followed by toffee, marzipan and honey from fresh mountain flowers, finished with the delicate perfume of May blossom.  The palate is full-bodied and rich with notes of liquorice, dried plum and apricot, building to a smouldering intensity guaranteed to linger.

Available exclusively at Harrods.
