If you have some money burning a hole in your pocket this Christmas you might want to consider the Lange Zeitwerk watch £45,500 (platinum) or £33,200 (gold).
Lange & Söhne the German watch brand is launching this timepiece with a mechanical, numeral display (not sure what that means, but it sounds funky!).
This watch, by all accounts is a fresh design concept that features some rather interesting innovations:
• The upper third of the dial includes the continuous power-reserve indicator which reliably tells the owner when it is time to re-energise the movement.
• The force behind the three numeral discs advancing once every hour is delivered by a newly developed barrel with an extra-strong mainspring.
• Several elements are familiar to every Lange watch – sapphire-crystal back, a three-quarter plate, a hand-engraved balance cock and screwed gold chatons.
