Everest luxury trek

If you are like me then you would have dreampt of climbing Everest and experiencing tranquility like you’ll find nowhere else on Earth. Yeah it’s a long walk… but it makes it easier to do it in as much luxury as possible rather than tents on the side of a mountain.

I stumbled across this rather good little UK based company who specialise in organising luxury Everest treks. Whilst the lodges may not be of the same luxury you are used to, they are by far the best you’ll find in the area.

The trek between lodges takes you through beautiful Nepalese villages with spectacular views of the Khumbu and Everest region. This is a moderate walk, designed for the first time trekker, which follows some of the classic Everest base camp trek before heading to the quieter Thame valley.

You can expect to pay around £1300 per person for 16 days including all flights and transfers… not a bad price for something you MUST see before you die!

 Day 3 Fly to Lukla (2,840m), trek to Phakding (2,610m)
 Day 4 Trek to Monjo (2,850m)
 Day 5 Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,445m)
 Day 6 Acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar, day walks
 Day 7 Trek to Tashinga (3,450m)
 Day 8 Trek to Pangboche (3,875m)
 Day 9 Trek to Tashinga (3,450m)
 Day 10 Trek to Mende (3,700m) via Sherpa villages of Khunde and Khumjung
 Day 11 Day trek to Thame village (3,820m)
 Day 12 Return to Monjo (2,850m)
 Day 13 Return to Lukla
 Day 14 Fly to Kathmandu
 Day 15 At leisure in Kathmandu
 Day 16 Fly back home
