A completely original way of storing your books is the Bookworm Bookends. In my opinion, a wonderfully stylish and unique, book storage idea.

You’ll probably find it a real talking point for house guests too.

Retailing at myownspace.com for $359 (£190) it is described as follows:

“Designed by Ron Arad, 1994

Classic “bookworm” shelving is where sculpture and shelving combine to create a customizable storage space that looks as good filled with books and CDs as it does all by itself. This flexible shelf is made of batch-dyed fire retardant PVC and mounts to the wall in a configuration that you decide.

Available in three sizes. Small (126” wide x 8” deep x 7.5” height) ; Medium (204.75” wide x 8” depth X 7.5” height); Large (323” wide x 8” deep x 7.5” height)”
