Benefits Supervisor Sleeping” a painting by Lucian Freud, of a voluptuous naked lady has set a new world record price for a piece by a living artist.

The exquisitely painted artwork, which was completed in 1995 and was sold at Christie’s, Rockefeller Center auction house in New York for a staggering $33.6 million (£17.2 million).
