Paradise doesn’t come much better than the newly opened Anahita Resort. Set on the idyllic island of Mauritius, the resort brings a new level of luxury to the island.

Set in a natural site of 213 hectares, between mountains, indigenous forests and meandering coastline, Anahita could be described as one of the most luxurious resorts in Mauritius.

You can expect a private butler trained in emotional intelligence to identify when you want them there and when you don’t! Chefs are on hand each morning to rustle up a breakfast of champions. Dinner can be taken at the Michelin starred restaurant on-site or alternative enjoyed alfresco under the stars.

The resort boasts a myriad of activities, with plenty on offer for all age groups. Those wanting an adrenaline rush can try the latest sub scooter diving craze or take a trip off-site quad biking, seeing the island from a different perspective. For those who enjoy a more chilled out pace, a trip to the stunning nature reserve “L’Etoile” can be arranged or simply relax under the tropical sun by the two infinity pools.

A recommended visit is to the nearby Port-Louis, the Indian Ocean’s oldest racetrack or for something closer to home head up to La Place Belgath, Anahita’s village centre to browse the traditional Mauritian market and pick up local produce for the evenings dinner. Those who enjoy a round of golf or two can tee-off at the Ernie Els championship golf course. This dramatic par-72 course combines the best of golfing with breathtaking surroundings, making for an incomparable golfing experience – some say it is the best course on the island.
