BA have just launched its unique flight simulation offering the experience of a lifetime to the general public in the cockpit of a £10 million pound full motion flight simulator normally reserved for the exclusive training of professional pilots.
A British Airways pilot gives a 30 minute pre-flight briefing on the flight desk instructions, controls and systems. Once training is complete, its time for take-off.
We experienced this for ourselves and can honestly say that if you have a list of things to do before you die then this needs to be one of them. We took off from heathrow and lamded the plane twice… then went for a quick flight around New York only to land at JFK… an extreemly difficult airport to negotiate trust me. This was truly an expreience we will never forget!
If you have always dreamed of taking the controls for yourself then this is the experience for you. Absolutely no experience is required.
