American specialty private label watch company Jorg Gray has created a Commemorative Edition 6500 Chronograph which has class written all over it – not literally of course!

Bold in design and extremely sophisticated, the 6500 Chronograph timepiece was gifted to President Obama by his security team on his 46th birthday in 2007.  No wonder the Commemorative Edition was produced – it was to meet the enormous demand!  Now available in the UK the watch combines the highest quality materials.  Brushed or polished steel cases with scratch resistant mineral coated lenses, Italian leather straps and optimum precision movements.  What’s great is the watch itself isn’t that flashy, meaning it is versatile enough to wear to day, work and evening events.  Well if it’s good enough for President Obama it’s good enough for the rest of us!

Jorg Gray
6500 Chronograph Steel - £260
6500 Chronograph Rose Gold - £325
6500 Chronograph Bronze Gold - £325

A. Lange & Sohne watches, who were originally founded in the mid 19th century, have brought out new novelties for 2010 for men and women.

Classically sophisticated, the novelties include the Homage collection.  This is a limited edition collection of 3 of Lange’s most iconic and complicated watches in gorgeous honey gold.  Separate to the Homage Collection is the Little Saxonia - a stunning women’s jewellery watch which is adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds and a mother of pearl face.

Considered as Collectors’ items the prices of the watches vary from approximately £8,300 to £250,000.  Just slightly out of my price range then….

If you are a fan of the 1970’s and the Grand Prix then keep on reading!  Behold the classiness of The Chronoris Grand Prix ’70 Gold Limited Edition.  Oris has dedicated limited edition watches to racing greats or to a team but never before to a year making this watch that extra bit special!

The 1970’s was one of the most dramatic years motor racing has ever seen in the Grand Prix so it’s no surprise really that Oris decided to design this sleek and classy watch.

The case is made from solid 18k rose gold and there are only 70 pieces available worldwide.  This Chronoris has been given a retro style, but with a modern twist with second time zone and the 10- minute countdown, making sure the design is up-to-date on the trend scale.  Another perk to buying the GP70 is that it’s presented in a luxury box set with an automatic Oris watch winder.  Perfect for a 1970’s Grand Prix fan if you have a spare £8,550!
