The UK property market has seen unprecedented growth in the last decade. So, I suppose it’s no real surprise to see Halifax reporting that “there are now 63,200 more properties valued at £1 million than there were in 1995.” This is a staggering twenty fold increase.

Poole in Dorset, England is counted as one of those unique places on the planet that achieves super high residential values per hectare. I must admit to not completely understanding the attraction, although a property like the one below does offer spectacular views and perfect access to some of the best sailing waters in the world. In fact the Olympic sailing events are due to be held in these waters in 2012.

I must admit Arizona has never really appealed and it would be one of the last places I would consider for a luxury home purchase. Having had a nose around what’s on the market I was pleasantly surprised to see some really quite sumptuous examples of pure luxury.
In particular I noticed this spacious piece of Scottsdale real estate. The architecture here really isn’t to my taste but I guess there is degree of subjectivity at work here.

If you haven’t visited Greece and in particular Crete please do it some time soon. Greece is jammed packed with history, mystery and a fair amount of luxury if you know what your looking for.
I was recently told of a not particularly well know destination called Chania which offers rustic architecture and a lack of overt commercialisation.

I am always searching for the most desirable properties in the world and for some reason Miami has held a high place in my aspirations. It strikes me as a truly vibrant place. I guess there are still misty eyed memories of Don Johnson in Miami Vice!
Anyway, I saw this particularly luxurious development in Miami which I really liked the look of.
