Elle Macpherson AKA “the body” is selling her enormous Notting Hill home for £9 million ($18 million).
The house dates back to the Victorian era and was last put up for sale in 2005 for £6.5 million ($13 million).
Accommodation includes a 20ft kitchen, a cinema, gym, wine cellar, six bedrooms, library, study, first floor drawing room and a formal dining room. An extensive property for anybody considering the move to London’s iconic Notting Hill.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife have reportedly spent $4.7m (£2.4m) purchasing 25 acres of land situated on a Santa Barbara ranch.
The off plan site will entitle the Schwarzenegger’s to build a fabulous 8,500 sq ft home. However, the purchase is apparently subject to 99 pages of guidelines which determine the architectural style of the home and the type of plants that can be incorporated into the landscaping.
Even so, I don’t think Mr Schwarzenegger will be terminating the purchase!
The London based Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich is thought to be investing £150 million ($296 million) in a UK residence that would make it the most expensive in that country.

London’s property market still seems to be defying gravity with the recent off plan sale of number 8 St James’s Square. The price has not been registered as yet, but is understood to be agreed at around £115m ($230m).

The identity of the purchaser is being kept secret for the moment. But whoever he or she is, must be well cash funded given the current financial turmoil....
