If you want to add a little dimension to your garden you may want to consider the contemporary light-up plant pot which sells from £100 to £500.

If you want something to put in your plant pot then you may also want to consider a new luxury plant design service calling itself Leaf-It-At-Home. These guys actually provide plants for the Big Brother House so now you know where to go if you want to recreate the BB Garden 2008!

No this isn’t an advert for some feature film set in the future, this is real…

The RL800 is a fully automatic lawn mower that is designed to autonomously mow your lawn simply by pressing a button. The RoboMower has a full 21-inch width of cut, and can handle mowing the same types, thickness and heights of grass that a traditional gas walk mower can handle. The RoboMower is a cut-on-demand mower, meaning you choose when and how often to cut.

It features a cutting system that delivers a full 5.5 HP equivalent power at the blades. It is a dedicated mulching mower that mulches far better than a traditional mower because of the Triple-Chamber-Mulching system with a full 5800-RPM blade speed, almost twice that of a gas walk mower.

It costs around £600, but think of all that extra time you can spend sleeping in the garden.

Now here’s an idea, build your very own outdoor kitchen. It’s a little more than a BBQ and obviously costs more too, but fantastic if you like entertaining outside.

Costs can vary from £500 - £50,000 and there are four types you can choose from:

Basic island
A basic island features a grill, a sink and a little space where you chop or store supplies. It works fine for occasional light cooking but become cumbersome if you do heavy duty cooking or make recipes which require a lot of chopping and simultaneous preparations.

L-shaped island
This configuration allows separate spaces for cooking and preparing food. Seating arrangements are usually next to the grill island.

U-shaped center
The third common design is the U shaped kitchen island. It provides distinct zones for cooking, preparation and eating food. An advantage of this design is that food can be served straight from the grill and at the same time maintain a jovial conversation.

Custom
The luxury end starts around £30,000 and you get your own designer thrown in. They also feature ovens, fire pits and often have lighting designed so as to create a breathtaking aesthetic appeal. Practically there are no upper limits.
