This is literally breaking news that is going to send ripples around the Luxury world – Philippe Starck has designed a pair of high end headphones.

The design is typically elegant and simple and definitely Starck.

image

The technology behind the Starck Zik headphones is anything but simple. ZIK has powerful DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms that recreate the contours of the music in full. This is the “Parrot Concert Hall” effect: the music is in front of you, like at a concert!

This unique music and Bluetooth phone headset is equipped with an active noise cancelling system, the ZIK is sound insulating and guarantees the purest sound experience, whether you are listening to music or making calls.

As with all Parrot products, ZIK is compatible with all mobile phone brands and accepts a large number of music sources: connecting via a cable jack; transferring audio files using Bluetooth A2DP stereo, or using contactless NFC technology (a first for any headset allowing listeners sync and pair portable music players by touch - in much the same way an Oyster or Contactless card works).

image

The headphones also feature a touch panel on the earpiece for the first time, meaning listeners can simply swipe the panel to control the music. Swipe the panel vertically to set the volume, or swipe it horizontally to skip music forward/rewind.

Oh Man, these are the absolute business! Very nice…Technologically advanced and they look so very good too. Parrot and Starck do it yet again.

Parrot, a global leader in wireless devices for mobile phones, is set to reveal the Starck Zik headphones at the CES Las Vegas 2012.

Mobiles and bling go hand in hand, that’s a given. But just how ‘bling’ can you go? Read on….

Amosu are offering ‘The most expensive diamond Blackberry’ for £120,000. Sounds like madness? The Diamond Blackberry Amosu Curva actually offers decent value for money, when you consider the quantity of diamonds and gold used here.

image

The blackberry comes with one year free global concierge service, in 44 cities around the world. There are also options to have the battery cover personalised with your name.

But the Midas king of bling, Stuart Hughes, goes a little further and has created the world’s most expensive iPhone…This one will empty your piggy bank.

The iPhone 4S Elite Gold really does deliver. Personally, I would be happy with a standard iPhone 4S, but if you want to impress, this might just do the trick!

image

The bezel is handmade from rose gold with approximately 500 individual flawless diamonds which total over 100ct. The rear section is formed using 24ct gold with the added touch of its 24ct gold Apple logo and 53 diamonds.

To house this modern day work of art, the phone comes with a chest that rivals the phone itself.

image

Made from solid Platinum with polished pieces of original Dinosaur bone from the T-REX along with rare stones such as Opal, Pietersite, Charoite, Rutile Quartz and Star Sunstone.

The handset is 64gb and limited edition of only 2 to be ever made.

The Price? A cool £6,000,000.00.

The recent release of the Apple iPhone 4S was meet with the usual manic obsession from Apple iPhone devotee’s.

Yes, it wasn’t the anticipated iPhone 5, but Steve Jobs last iPhone is fairly impressive, running 5 times faster than its predecessor.

There is a better version of the iPhone 4S available, and unsurprisingly Goldstriker are behind it.

image

Liverpool based Goldstriker make good things better, and this is now the best Apple iPhone 4S available right now.

At £3,795, it’s a little bit more than the original (!), but there are only 1000 limited edition models being made.

This stunning iPhone is uniquely crafted. Each iPhone, is fully embellished in 24ct gold or Platinum and has a hand finished outer frame inlaid with more than 500 best quality crystal stones.

The phone also comes with the unique Apple logo as 53 hand set crystal stones. Like the diamond setting process each stone is individually set into cut clasps, that run seamlessly along the circumference of the bezel complimenting the curves of the device while adding seductive detail.

If that wasn’t impressive enough, the best Apple iPhone 4S comes with its own individually set crystal earphones.

In the wake of Apple Inc.’s next generation iPad 2 device, Capulet, the London-based luxury women’s accessories label, has announced its new collection of limited edition Luxury Leather iPad 2 Cases.

They come in a stylish range of high quality, luxury leather sleeves in a range of colours from ‘Fleur’ – a pale taupe with a Satsuma orange lining, ‘Joanne’ and ‘Melissa’ in a vibrant violet, ‘Alison’ in fresh apple mint, ‘Sharon’ in coffee brown with a hint of khaki and ‘Marija’ in a muted snakeprint.

image

Each luxury leather iPad 2 case is handmade in a town in Southern Spain. The town is famously home to master craftsmen who work with the cream of European designers on leather goods. This area is known for its long history in leather making and the local artisans pride themselves on producing high quality leather goods, which will stand the test of time through the use of traditional production methods.

Capulet only use quality materials to create truly luxurious products. All leathers are sourced from the finest tanneries in Europe and each case lined with genuine suede.

Joyce Lin, Capulet’s co-founder, stated: “Our goal is to offer stylish and luxurious case options for the latest devices as they enter the tablet market. Designing beautiful cases for our gadgets is a must. Why should we sacrifice our style whilst using the latest technology? The latest collection is the perfect accompaniment to this season’s high fashion 70’s revival and minimalist look.”

The packaging of the cases is also very stylish, each beautifully presented in a suede case and silky ribbon. The only drawback is that the cases themselves do not offer a high degree of protection to the Ipads. In some situations corners of the Ipads are exposed. However, they can accommodate the Ipad whilst housed in it’s smart case.

The luxury leather iPad 2 cases have simply been designed to add style to your technology whether for at work or in the high street.

Cases are also available for the Kindle, Galaxy Tab, 10″ notebooks, and 13″ notebooks. Prices are not cheap, but what would you expect from handmade, high end luxury leather goods? Such chic will always come at a cost.

The items are receiving impressive reviews from fashion media as they are displaying exquisite craftmanship with a definite nod to the clean lines of Celine and neutral tones of Chloe/Stella McCartney. They are available from Mercer and Wells (in the Square Mile) and Wolf and Badger (Notting Hill) plus online at capuletlondon.com.
