This place is a golf enthusiast’s dream come true, and rightly so at around £1200 a round!
You’ll find it in Barbados at the legendary Sandy Lane set of courses. There are three courses on offer here The Country Club, The Old Nine and the Green Monkey designed by Tom Fazio.
The green fees alone for The Green Monkey are £150 and you can only play the course if you spend the night in the hotel where the cheapest room is around £1000 / night!
Know somewhere more expensive?
If you are like me then you would have dreampt of climbing Everest and experiencing tranquility like you’ll find nowhere else on Earth. Yeah it’s a long walk… but it makes it easier to do it in as much luxury as possible rather than tents on the side of a mountain.
I stumbled across this rather good little UK based company who specialise in organising luxury Everest treks. Whilst the lodges may not be of the same luxury you are used to, they are by far the best you’ll find in the area.
One of the many stunning views ‘Ama Dablam’.

I stumbled across a fabulous set of new products for the luxury traveler. A set of luxury city guide books for major cities in Asia, Europe, America and Australia. Basically Lonely Planet for people with cash! The company is called Luxe City Guides.
The quirky little guides reveal all the secrets of some very funky cities that only the rich and famous could afford to do. Packed with a highly selective and opinionated list of only the best shops, restaurants and hotels, unique services and lifestyle options – these pocket sized guides show you the best of what every city has to offer.
Every guide book comes with handy online updates.
Guides are a very reasonable $9 USD each and my feeling is that this little company is going to go far!
Check them out here.

If you like your fishing mixed with a little adventure then you can’t go far wrong with Peacock Bass fishing in Brazil on what is claimed to be the most luxurious vessel on the Amazon. For around £2,000 GBP ($4,000 USD) you get six and a half days fishing and luxury living.
Peacock Sea Bass are a freshwater fish, and you can catch them by whatever means you want! They often grow up to 3 feet (+) long and apparently put up a great fight. You may even catch a Piranha or Catfish along with hundreds of other species.
The boat itself has six double suites and two double Master Suites each with its own bath, and provides up to sixteen fishermen with a level of service and amenities normally associated only with luxury hotels.
