Hidden amongst the hustle and bustle of London’s Camden town lies Gilgamesh Restaurant and Bar, a 15,000 sq ft Babylonian style palace modelled around the life and times of an ancient Eastern god. Awe inspiring is an understatement!

The venue has four areas to dine, drink, dance and socialise, all set within beautiful architecture. The menu is classed as ‘Pan Asian’ and encapsulates a myriad of signature dishes with influence from South East Asia, China and Japan, all developed under the watchful gaze of Celebrity Chef Ian Pengelley.
We recently discovered the luxury delights of Gilgamesh for ourselves with a fleeting evening visit. After we’d picked ourselves up from the sheer magnitude, vibrancy and delicious foodie smells floating around we enjoyed a deliciously fresh cocktail aptly named an Emerald Fizz (Vodka embraced with fresh Kiwi, topped with Champagne). These definitely come highly recommended.

Endorsed by nutritionists and Olympic sportsmen, Love Dean Grenola was founded by Lucy O’Donnell as a result of tasting a form of granola during a holiday in the Alps in 2005.
Three years on the brand has won numerous awards and has built a clientele of superstar chefs and even royalty who love its levels of nutrition, not to mention the taste.

WHAT IS GRANOLA?
Granola is a type of cereal made with natural ingredients such as oats and nuts that have been lightly toasted. Granola has always been popular in America and is fast becoming a breakfast trend in the UK. There are only two other types of Granola currently available in the UK and Lovedean is considered superior, largely due to its long list of healthy and concentrated ingredients.

With an invitation to review award winning restaurant Gaucho Sloan Avenue we knew we were in for a real treat. Specialist in the finest cuts of Argentinean Beef , Gaucho was founded by Zeev Godik over ten years ago in Piccadilly, London and has recently seen the business double its takings – no easy feat.

So, eager to trial the delights of the legendary Gaucho steak, we arrived to a very welcoming team of chic and professional staff who clearly had a passion for good food as well as the makings of a happy diner.
But before we talk about our recommendations of what to eat here’s a little history lesson; The first Gaucho Restaurant opened over ten years ago in Piccadilly London. Since then ten more have opened, nine in London and one in Manchester. The Gaucho Restaurants are always mentioned as one of the best places in the UK to sample really superb steak and I find it very hard to disagree.

Argentine Beef is top-class thanks to the adequate moisture, mild climate, rich soil and vast terrain on which it grazes. Due to the fact that Argentine Aberdeen Angus graze freely over the grassland and do not require hormones, the beef results in containing 10% less cholesterol and 25% less intra muscular fat than US or UK beef.
