I have always dreamed of owning a designer bag, and it seems I’ll have to keep dreaming by the looks of these Gucci prices! The Tattoo Heart Collection is extra special though as it’s to benefit UNICEF, and Rihanna is the face of the campaign looking as stunning as usual! Gucci will donate 25% of the sale when you purchase an item from the collection, which will go to support orphans and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa. This will be valid from November 19th 2008, until January 31st 2009 – so dig around for some extra pocket money to do your part!

The collection itself is made up of bags and accessories, each branding a tattoo like design. Just be careful not to leave your expensive Gucci purchase anywhere too dirty though – you don’t want to ruin the gorgeous white! Here’s a few of my favourites from the collection!

These are probably the most luxurious children’s shoes ever…...

Produced by Step 2wo, and christened the ‘Cinders’ shoe, they are available in Harvey Nichols London, retailing for a racy £250 ($450 approx).
These credit crunch defying shoes are hand crafted in Italy and feature 1,000 Swarovski cystals and come in sizes 35-38.
Nick Rayne, owner of Step 2wo, who also runs the children’s wear concessions in Harvey Nichols believes the Cinders shoes will buck the gloom on the high street.
“Our customers are always looking for the perfect party shoe for their daughters and we believe we’ve created the perfect pair. A modern take on the Glass Slipper, these are shoes that girls will want to - and will love - wearing. Our customers are less likely to be affected by the current credit crunch and £250 isn’t a big financial commitment for them. For example, they might buy a dress by the couture children’s wear designer Bonnie young which retails in the region of £1,300 and will expect to buy a pair of shoes that will complement the dress.”
Umm, I guess we will have to wait and see if belt tightening reaches all levels of the retail market…..
