Buenos Aries landed in Surrey last Saturday when Team Gaucho played Camino Real at Ham Polo club in Richmond. Dressed in my finest I stopped by to learn more about Argentina’s obsession with steak, showmanship and this very regal sport. A very glamorous affair, I watched as dashing Polo chatted with guests, taking time to teach them a few tricks in between their fast and furious matches. Delicious canapés were washed down with champagne, ice cream handed out to help keep us cool and wine tasting was available to those curious about Argentinean vintage.

If you are anywhere near Madrid on 2nd July 2010 we suggest you get yourself over to the Picasso Tower, Madrid’s most iconic building in its business district, where luxury drinks brand Beefeater 24 will be opening the Midnight Labyrinth. For one night only the site will be transformed into London’s famous Vauxhall ‘Pleasure’ Gardens using 300sqm of traditional living hedge grown in England and forming a maze, which has been designed by the world’s leading maze designer, Adrian Fisher.
Between 10pm & 1am on the 2nd July you’ll be able to stroll through its narrow corridors and discover an interactive, multi-sensory garden of contemporary art, music, film and live performances from London’s leading artists. Attractions within the maze include:
• The Great Forest, with moonlight performances from Vicky Butterfly
• The Ruby’s-Red Cherry Orchard
• A London Disco Folly
• A Singing Portrait with Tricity Vogue, a unique musical cabaret artist

On June 4th, 5th and 6th 2010, for only the second time in nearly a century, Hurlingham Park in London hosted more than 32,000 spectators at The World Polo Series MINT Polo in the Park.
The event was a full weekend of entertainment, which included central London’s first ever jousting competition, stunt riders from famous Hollywood blockbusters, military displays from the best of our Armed Forces and to round off there was a number of ‘skills’ events from the polo players, including penalty shoot-outs and the longest-shot at goal. Also, Blake classical Brit award boy band also attended the entire event to perform over the three days for the crowds that came out in force!

Thailand is one my favourite places in the world so when I was invited to the Thai Spa Festival co-hosted by Erb and luxury beauty innovators Urban Retreat at Harrods I was so excited. Visiting this amazing country was on my wish list this year but I needn’t travel so far to experience one of the things I most love about this place.

Having spent much time holidaying in Thailand combining tropical landscapes and tranquil settings, the ‘land of smiles’ really does have a renowned service. I find many of the Thai traditions including the blissful beach massages have such a calming and soothing effect on the mind, perfectly designed to help you unwind from the stresses of everyday life.

May gardens are full of English roses right now signalling the start of the Chelsea flower show. It’s alive and blooming until the 29th May and I’ve been lucky enough to view the stunning Laurent Perrier garden by award winning designer Tom Stuart Smith.
He’s teamed up with architect Jamie Fobert to create an elegant and sophisticated space, which perfectly suits a summery Champagne soiree. Jamie ‘s stunning bronze pavilion is composed of folded copper sheets that overlook Tom’s woodland flora. The show garden is a vision of modern sophistication and well worth a visit; in fact it’s just been awarded a gold medal!
