Nespresso have just released their Essenza coffee machine Limited Edition Crystal Collection. These are destined to add a little sparkle to the morning’s coffee ritual and are adorned with brilliant black and silver Swarovski crystals.
Connoisseurs in the UK will be able to catch a first glimpse of the bejewelled black model at the new Nespresso Boutique in London’s Harrods from June 2008.
Hidden amongst the hustle and bustle of London’s Camden town lies Gilgamesh Restaurant and Bar, a 15,000 sq ft Babylonian style palace modelled around the life and times of an ancient Eastern god. Awe inspiring is an understatement!
The venue has four areas to dine, drink, dance and socialise, all set within beautiful architecture. The menu is classed as ‘Pan Asian’ and encapsulates a myriad of signature dishes with influence from South East Asia, China and Japan, all developed under the watchful gaze of Celebrity Chef Ian Pengelley.
We recently discovered the luxury delights of Gilgamesh for ourselves with a fleeting evening visit. After we’d picked ourselves up from the sheer magnitude, vibrancy and delicious foodie smells floating around we enjoyed a deliciously fresh cocktail aptly named an Emerald Fizz (Vodka embraced with fresh Kiwi, topped with Champagne). These definitely come highly recommended.

Glenfiddich have announced that the selection process for it’s annual Vintage Reserve has been completed. For any collector or investor in high end whisky, this is an event worth noting.
The selection was conducted by Malt Master David Stewart and an international panel of experts who selected cask number 4414 for it’s complex 31 year old Glenfiddich.
The aged cask has been in storage at the distillery since 7th March 1977. Head Cooper, Don Ramsay, repaired and prepared the Oloroso sherry butt (cask) prior to filling all those years ago while Head Warehouseman Eric Stephen, who was on hand to draw the samples, has been responsible for ensuring the cask’s security and condition has remained intact. The pair has been working together at the distillery for more than 45 years.
