Louis Parsons is a name you’d know if you’re into art… having created bespoke pieces for The White House, MPs and high net worth individuals he’s grown to become rather popular.

For the past 16 years Louis has been in pursuit of an understanding of the human spirit, and how our expressions in daily life reflect the soul. In fact he has written extensively on how creativity can be used to reveal the inklings of the soul and also runs Soul Expression seminars from his workshop in Cheltenham, helping people understand what makes them feel alive, a detox for the soul.

His unique artworks is otherwise known as SoulScape, an oil on canvas creation that reveal an individual’s inner most feelings, desires and perceptions and interprets these into unique pieces of art for the home. Obviously this is very personal art and prices start from £1,200 and up.

Perhaps slightly eccentric to some, but very attractive to others, the Parrots Party Collection by Lladró Atelier has been conceived under the artistic guidance of internationally renowned designer Jaime Hayon.

In The Parrots Party collection, the refined forms of the pieces contrast with the minute decoration of the birds, the core element of the piece. Reproduced down to the tiniest detail, the plumage of the different species of birds seems to come to life on the original branches coming out of the vases, candelabra, coat-hangers and mirrors in this collection.

FRANCE

Le Portail, Lunac (La Fouillade)

This luxury villa in France sleeps 8 and dates right back to the 17th Century. It is a stunning example of a traditional farm property with a mixture of polished wood floors, exposed stone and painted walls, which are a backdrop to the pretty floral fabrics and carved wood furniture.

Kitted out with all the mod cons you could wish for, we can’t think of a nicer property to stay atin South West France.
