Goldmeister Stuart Hughes, best known for his pimped up phones and iPads has completed his most mammoth (sorry) task ever!

The world’s most unique yacht “History Supreme“ has Stuart Hughes written all over it. A circa of 100,000 kilograms of solid gold and platinum were used to create the World’s Most Expensive Yacht.
This project was commissioned from an anonymous leading Malaysian business man.
The yacht has taken three years to create, it has been worth the wait.
All features including the deck , dining area , rails and anchor have been made from precious metals.Even the base of the vessel was wrapped in gold , a thin layer was formed to embrace this huge section.

The main sleeping quarter has been adorned with platinum accents and stunningly, a wall feature made from meteoric stone , with genuine Dinosaur bone shaved into it from a T – REX.
A cost of £3 billion , the most exclusive yacht was born !

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a boat….
The ultimate luxury lifestyle accessory this summer has to be one of Ferretti Group’s so called ‘super yachts’.

Straight out of a Bond film these opulent high performance vessels are constantly being re-invented, developed and improved by designers in pursuit of yachting perfection.
This month was no exception in the race to rule the waves as shipyard CRN (part of Ferretti) held the launch of their new range entitled ‘Dislopen’ at the Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge. They showcased models and glossy images of stylish steel and aluminium machines as long as 62 metres in length (!) invented by gifted Italian architects Gianni and Paola Zuccon of Studio Zuccon.
Everything had been taken into consideration, owners of a CRN ship can switch from swimming pools to sundecks, sip cocktails on sofa beds whilst taking in incredible sea views- and when it all gets too much they can retire to an exquisitely furnished bedroom suite.

Most customers can expect their own helicopter pad, cinema hall, gym, solarium and even a ‘real beach’ where the back opens up to allow clients greater access to the sea.
Not everyone at the launch was quite able to write the designers a cheque so made up for it by sitting down to an exclusive champagne lunch courtesy of CRN overlooking Hyde Park where the brand’s manager revealed why they were so excited about these particular new designs:
“This new project demonstrates how we’ve ‘listened out’ to our clients needs - fundamental to the niche yacht market, this modern range is unique in our industry.”
The architect Gianni Zuccon went on to explain: “Dislopen defines itself by its name - onboard living with particular attention to both individual and common spaces and attention to the dynamics existing between the external and the internal spaces.”
All very lofty sounding stuff, for me the images spoke for themselves, lottery winner look no further for the jet set lifestyle, 2011 is all about big swanky super yachts……
Whether you are a boating enthusiast, luxury enthusiast or both there is every chance you would have heard of Panerai. Perhaps best known for their collection of classic luxury watches originally designed for the Italian Navy back in 1890, Panerai is now a brand respected across every continent and high sea for quality and classic opulence. A Panerai watch is something most sailors aspire to and for good reason, they are beautifully crafted and often fetch tens of thousands of pounds.

But possibly what Panerai have become most famous for in recent times is its global classic yacht regattas. Each year, 500 of the world’s most beautifully preserved classic yachts take part in challenges in ten locations that have made yachting history. It is the only race circuit of its kind and attracts over 5,000 international sailors and classic boat owners who religiously take part in regattas around the world each year.
