The aesthetic of the PINCH site is heavily image led with a clean, design focused layout that celebrates the quality of imagery and editorial.

Importantly, It is easy to navigate, find associated articles with a common thread of inspiration and ultimately enjoy getting lost in and taking PINCH’s of inspiration for travel and wider lifestyle planning.

Black Tomato owner and co-founder Tom Marchant explains, “The crux of the magazine’s concept is summed up by the tag line, ‘this world, that pinch of inspiration’ and is a place for us to share our insider finds and enthusiasm about the world. Ultimately, we want it to be a place of inspiration.

“We have always been committed to writing a lot of editorial for Black Tomato’s website so launching PINCH magazine felt like a natural progression of what we do and a way for us to continue championing creative cutting edge experiences around the world through a different outlet.”

It’s like having a chat with a well connected and very cool travel agent. If you are asking where shall I go on holiday this year, you should invest some time in PINCH.

The only trouble is, you may get more inspiration than you anticipated…and you may decide to take more than one trip this year! Life’s tough choices….

Pursuitist is one of those blogs most bloggers aspire to want to create. Not only is it neatly laid out for the viewer to engage with, but it’s also always brimming with unique content that those who love the finer things in life will simply love.

But it’s not all luxury, really it’s all about what the editors deems as ‘the good things in life’and these can vary wildly. It aspires to be ahead of the curve in its thinking and writing, promoting only the latest buzz. This blog is definitely an RSS feed to follow or a Facebook page to ‘Like’, especially since Luxist.com has recently disappeared.

Pursuitist covers categories such as Arts, Auto, Epicurean, Family, Green, House, Style, Tech and Travel and has editors stationed all over the world.

If you’re looking for a site to fill the Luxist void, then Pursuitist may just be it!

Oh… and check out their current iPad 2 competition.

There’s an exciting new luxury blog on the scene. LuxuryRules.com is an informative blog that features a broad selection of luxury news items and offers an even broader selection of luxury concierge services such as personal shopping, yacht charter, private jets, limousines, private security, luxury resorts and technology. It’s certainly an interesting business model for a luxury news portal and one we can see taking off.

This one’s for the ladies who like the finer things in life… like Prada!

iStylista.com is a new Luxury Fashion Website that promises to be every fashionista’s luxury personal stylist and personal shopper. It’s designed for the busy woman in mind and utilises human stylists to pre-select the most suitable designer clothing based on your size, shape, colouring and body niggles (to name a few). Its unique selling point is the human interaction element; many other fashion sites such as shopstyle.co.uk and OSOYOU.com automate everything so have no true differentiation.

The site uses some very clever technology that allows the actual stylists to use their ‘professional experience’ and ‘style theory knowledge’ to look at an item of clothing and give it a scoring for specific elements such as body shape and how the item can enhance/disguise body niggles such as ‘chunky thighs’.

So far the content looks to be of an excellent quality and Kimberly Castro (the blog’s senior editor) seems to be doing an excellent job.

I particularly liked this recent piece “Holiday Gift Guide: Luxury Edition”

Go check it out.
