At Lussorian, we appreciate that the finer things in life do not have to be big bold statements.

We believe luxury comes in the form of the highest quality. That’s why we are big fans of MLS, London’s Monogrammed Linen Shop.

We have reported on the luxury linen shop before and recently told you about their new Chelsea collection.

Now, MLS have teamed up with Italian linen brand, Jesurum. The synergy is a natural one: both companies espouse the use of natural cottons and linens, as well as championing skilled craftsmanship above machine manufactured home items.

image
In fact, Monogrammed Linen Shop have been confirmed as the exclusive UK stockist for Jesurum.
Jesurum is a Venetian company and its products are still manufactured largely in Venice and the surrounding area.  It has been making sophisticated linens for the table, bedroom and bathroom for over 130 years.

It champions time-honoured forms of craftsmanship – such as lace making and hand-embroidery – and rejects all forms of mass production.

Its products are embellished with white, ecru and polychrome lace, woven on traditional looms and the embroidery is still done by hand, using skills handed down from generation to generation.

Jesurum has gained a huge and distinguished international fan base, which appreciates beautiful, elegant, natural items for the home, that remain practical at the same time.

With prices starting from £49.00, it’s never been a better time to head for The Monogrammed Linen Shop.

The Man that would (should) be King, Prince Charles, is someone we can all be proud of.

Yes, he might have a chat with a plant or two but his charitable output is simply inspiring. “The Prince’s Charities”, a group of 20 not-for-profit organisations raises over £130 million annually.

Well known for his (correct and very important) views on climate change and principally the rainforests, Prince Charles is also committed to the UKs own natural environment and to farming.

Prince Charles convened the Campaign for Wool earlier this year.  Sheep farming is ecologically sound and completely sustainable. The end product (wool) is obviously renewable, with the sheep being shorn once a year. Only recently, the Prince was linked to bio degradable woolen coffins….cosy caskets.

The campaign for Wool is being fully supported by Vi-Spring, the luxury bed manufacturer. Vi-Spring launched in 1901, with the world’s first interior sprung mattress using a system of individually pocketed springs. Now, The Vi-Spring beds are the perfect foundation for luxury designer bedding UK.

Vi-Spring now use the highest quality, pure British fleece wool across its entire collection, with real Shetland Isle wool being used in its top of the range beds.

Managing Director of Vi-Spring, Mike Meehan said “Our design team strive to source only the very best materials to upholster every bed in the Vi-Spring range. We’re proud to be using one of Britain’s finest natural resources, while supporting a campaign, which aims to increase demand for wool and raise its worth to upland farmers.

“Each and every Vi-Spring will be filled by Vi-Spring’s master craftsmen using more British fleece wool than any other bed maker.”

All Vi-Spring beds are hand – made to order at their Devon workshops. The finest luxury beds UK.

Just when you thought Vi-Spring beds were luxurious enough, The Vi-Spring beds have added more to their bed range with the introduction of wool.

Bio – degradable, will not sustain burning or produce toxic gases and using a naturally sustainable source of resilience, warmth and comfort.

Love it or loathe it, this bed is not something for the faint hearted. Drawing on what might be called “Louis XIV influences” the bed is part of Newton’s Chateau D’Or collection.

To it’s credit the bed is extensively hand crafted from mahogany and finished with twenty four carat gold leaf. Blingtastic !

Newton’s say:
