Are you planning on heading to an event this summer – perhaps a motorsport event or a festival? If so and you’re looking for accommodation, you might want to join a growing trend and choose to hire a winnebago for the weekend.

More and more people are dispensing with traditional hotels, B&Bs and camp sites and hiring themselves an American motorhome – gaining the luxuries of a private room and double bed as well as all the benefits of being close to the action.

A number of companies offer this service in the UK, but Midlands-based Hire Winnebago offers the ultimate: a 40-foot long Fleetwood Revolution – the Rolls Royce of American motor homes. With the option of a ‘toy hauler’, which can be towed behind, this luxurious motor home can sleep 10 comfortably or, for those who are happy to add a couple of camp beds, it’s possible to extend that number to 13.

Ah, the dinky Fiat 500. Nothing wrong with it at all, in fact, it’s already a bit of a design classic.

My Mum is the proud owner of a 500, and she looks proper good driving around town. The mini car is everything you would want for the city and I must admit, I am rather fond of it too.

image
Not my Mum’s Fiat 500!

But, is there really any need to Pimp it up? To give it a serious bling makeover?

The answer is no, it doesn’t need it. Unless some real professionals are involved. Pros like Stuart Hughes and Fenice Milano....Then, it’s a resounding yes!

This super high end mini car was commissioned by a wealthy Chinese businessman. The kings of bling worked their magic and created something quite outstanding.

Some stats on this Fiat 500c Abarth - aka “La Dolce Vita Gold and Diamonds 200hp”.

• Based on 500C Abarth with 200HP powered by Romeo Ferraris.

iPad solid gold Supreme edition by Stuart Hughes.

• Full customisation by Fenice Milano with gold plated and teak solid wood.

• Exterior design by Fenice Milano design team.

• Interior design a collaboration between Katherine Hughes and the Fenice Milano design team.

The price was quite outstanding too! At almost €500,000, it has to be the best 500 out there.

Soak up the opulence, my friends!

I am not going to do the obvious quotes like “The names Bond…James Bond” – apart from that one – for this most exciting bit of luxury auction news.

On 27th October, RM Auctions will offer the ORIGINAL Aston Martin DB5, as driven by Sean Connery in Goldfinger and Thunderball.

image

This is amazing. The best Bond in the Best Bond car, in the best Bond films.

The star lot at its annual ‘Automobiles of London’ event at the Battersea Evolution in London, the DB5 is expected to achieve in excess of £3.5 million (over $5 million US). The car is being offered by RM Auctions in association with Sotheby’s, with whom RM has worked in the past.

With its original and Iconic UK registration number, FMP 7B, this Aston Martin is one of only two, and the sole remaining, of the original ‘007’ DB5s as featured on screen with Sean Connery. RM have ensured the car is ready for action after years of not being driven.

Available for sale for the first time in history, The DB5 was originally returned to the Aston Martin Lagonda factory after filming of the two films was completed along with its promotional tour.

Mr. Jerry Lee, an American radio broadcaster based in Philadelphia, PA, convinced the factory to sell FMP 7B to him for $12,000 in 1969, thereby becoming its first and only ex-factory owner. It has remained in his possession and has rarely been seen publicly over the past 40+ years.

Mr. Lee plans to use the proceeds from the auction for his charitable trust…this all just gets better and better!

This car was, for me, when Q came into his own. The gadgets on board left me in awe as a child.

The Best Bond movie car is factory-fitted with the full complement of operational ‘Q-Branch’ gadgets, including machine guns, bullet-proof shield, revolving number plates, tracking device, removable roof panel, oil slick sprayer, nail spreader and smoke screen, all controlled from factory-installed toggles and switches hidden in the centre arm-rest.

So many memories, this is one special car.

0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds – the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand sport is on a par with modern Formula 1 racecars.

Bonkers! In a very, very good way….

image

The Bugatti Veyron is a supercar that is demanding we look at sports cars differently. It is a car that unites the pinnacle of luxury and unparalleled driving performance to a harmonious whole.

Famous for being the worlds most expensive car , it is the perfect example of you get what you pay for…(You get an awful lot!)

The high waisted King of British Reality TV, Mr Simon Cowell owns one, As does Ralph Lauren and Tom Cruise.

Now, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport has been named “Best Convertible” by the world renowned Robb Report magazine in its annual “Best of the Best” issue.

“Named ‘Car of the Decade’ by Robb Report’s Car of the Year panel last November, the Grand Sport is not only the most arresting vehicle on the market today, but it also happens to be the world’s best convertible, ” said Paul Meyers, Contributing Writer for Robb Report.

With a price tag of € 1.4 million (excluding tax), the Grand Sport celebrates unapologetically, the marriage of beauty and power.

The idea behind the 16.4 Grand Sport was to provide maximum enjoyment without losing sight of safety and comfort.

The Grand Sport defies conventional categories. The superior harmony of its design transcends the ordinary, lending the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport its unique character. The open-topped super sports car displays its power, performance, and self-assertion as a matter of course. Simultaneously, it exudes charisma, perfection, and elegance.

This is a way of going back to the Bugatti Grand Sport models of the late 1920s – a true Bugatti, with cutting edge aesthetics, quality and raw power.
