If you have a love for the environment combined with the feel of 4KW between your legs then you can’t go far wrong with the Verteci iWorK Commercial Road Legal Electric Quad.

image

Weighing in at 387kg, it tops an adrenalin pumping 40Km/h, and is in fact no different to its petrol cousins… apart from it is far kinder to the environment and doesn’t scare the sheep half as much. Not a single fume comes out of it, and with a range of around 50km this is surely every farmer’s dream machine.

To give you some idea of the running costs, 1KwH (Kilowatt Hour) of electricity costs around 10p. So were the iWorK to be ridden hard for a solid hour then it would cost around 50p in electricity! (allowing for any charging inefficiencies) Quite a saving over a petrol vehicle!

Costing around £7000 ($14,000 US) it is in fact around the same sort of cost than it’s petrol cousins, and in terms of running costs, let’s estimate a £5 per day saving that’s £1250 / year in petrol alone. Combined with the fact that you are also saving the planet, this is a fantastic purchase!

British company, Gibbs Technologies, has just launched it’s carboat called The Aquada and it’s getting a lot of press.

It’s got a 175 – horsepower engine that can get up to 100mph on land. The carboat can then retract its wheels in 13 seconds to become the water jet propelled powerboat that hits 30mph on seas.

I’m not sure what they cost, but rumor has it that an Aquada is between £50k - £100k, an absolute bargain when you consider you get 2 vehicles for the price of one.

If you are interested in buying one of these beauties then I suggest you visit the Gibbs website and fill in the form here.

Check this bad boy out, it’s not actually solid silver but it is polished Aluminum, finished in a clear protective lacquer. The car was put together for a Saudi Sheikh buyer by Roland Mayer and his team at mtm (Motoren Technik Mayer) tuning in Germany.

This particular design project is known as the Audi A8 D3 polished. Before applying the final, clear finishing coat the metal surface of the car had to be totally free of any marks or defects because retouching later was not possible.

Of course the plastic bits could not be polished, parts like front and rear bumpers, spoilers, exterior mirrors, side skirts and fuel tank cap. These parts were finished in a special enamel paint to match the polished metal surfaces before they too received a clear finishing coat.
