What could be more English than the top hat and bowler hat? Well, apart from ‘the full English breakfast’ not a lot!

I stumbled across this real gem of a sculptor in the form of a man called Dominique Imbert. He specializes in sculpting some of the most beautiful fireplaces you will ever see…
They add dramatic effect to any environment and each is a bespoke creation. The company has more accolades than you can imagine and it’s easy to see why!
Here’s what’s on offer in the range:
Central fireplaces suspended or on stand, pivoting or fixed, wall-mounted or corner fireplaces, built-in or free-standing single or double front fireplaces, metallic hoods, wall-mounted barbecues.
All the fireplaces are made of steel and can stand a heat up to 900°C.

Computer Choppers is an American company and one you’ll hear geeks whispering about in the server room! The compny has recently taken a MacBook Pro and pimped the hell out of it.
I’m talking a diamond apple logo and a 24-carat gold plated shell. The company are clear to point out that tis is a one off and they are not going nto mass production. My feeling is that they are getting all the geeks to start bidding on this ludicrous machine. There is no mention of price on the company website… but expect some nerd to cough up a few hundred thousand.
I mean, imagine pulling this out in a business meeting – they’d think you were raving mad!
Would you cough up £60,000 for a games console?
Well some nutters did… back in 1960. That means that back then the console would have cost £350,000 in today’s money.
It was known as the PDP-1 and came with a game called Space Wars, certainly a little different from the new Halo 3!!

If when you wake up you like to feel important, then get in the lime light with this Foto lamp. Designed by a Swedish bloke called Thomas Bernstrand, this light is a toned down version of the lights used in film and professional photography today.
It pumps out some serious light, but no where near its commercial use cousins.
It’s made from white painted aluminium and steel and has a telescopic pole to adjust height and angle. You can pick it up for around £500 a piece here.
