A candle may not be perceived as a luxury item and is poles apart from the £6,000,000 iPhone we mentioned last week.

But forget price being the definition of luxury – it’s all about having the best of something – and in this case, I’m looking at candles.

Bake Boutique are a new concept in British-made luxury scented candles, which has just launched.

Its first collection is inspired by the scents of the kitchen - the heart and soul of every home.  Bake Boutique has taken this concept and given it a quirky, modern twist by creating chic, yet fun, candles to bring the most scrumptious and enticing smells of the bakery into the home.
All Bake Boutique products are 100% made in England, including the packaging.  Each luxury scented candles is hand-poured, with and only uses the purest soy wax, blending in the finest fragrance oils from around the world, with a lead-free cotton wick.

This ensures a long, clean, non-toxic burn. 45 hours to be precise.
The first edition comprises 5 different aromas, based on much loved baking classics, which really will scent the home. Scents include Almond coffee cake, Honeycomb Chocolate brownie, Cinnamon Gingerbread Man, Red Velvet Slice and Vanilla cupcake.
Bake Boutique’s luxury scented candles are available now and cost £32 each.

I like a good film and I love good food. Putting the two together is something I am not totally sure on. I’ll be honest – at the flicks I am happy with some popcorn or if I am really treating myself, I might splash out on some tacos.

It seems that this level of food is not enough for some cinema goers. If you are looking for the best luxury cinema in London, you might be interested in ‘The Lounge’ at The Odeon within Whiteleys.

Fine dining has come to film.

Opening to the public on January 13th, Odeon have revealed the seat-side menu available to guests at “The Lounge”

This fine dining menu has been devised by Rowley Leigh and offers finger, fork and spoon options.

The tables are all set in soundproofed booths and service comes at the touch of a button. The best luxury cinema in London also boast fully reclinable leather seats.

Although I said I wasn’t sure this would work, I have had a look at the menu and must admit it beats popcorn!

It has been reported that a real life Santa has been operating in Miami.  An anonymous donor dropped a diamond ring into a Salvation Army bin.

Inside the bin was, wrapped in a rubber band, a $50 bill and inside the $50 bill was a note, and inside the note was the ring.

“They need more than I. Do good! A Friend,” the simple note read.

The ring, which features two diamonds and a sapphire, was immediately valued at $2,000.

It was the second time in two years that something “special” had been dropped in a Salvation Army bin in the area.

Last year a gold nugget, which was later auctioned for $4,000, was found with a similar note.

This all got me thinking. Christmas has been savagely over-commercialised in recent times. I for one am ‘guilty’ of spoiling my kids this year. Being aged 5 and 6, this is the most wonderful time for them and I wanted to make sure it will be as memorable as possible.

They are sorted. But what about the needy this Christmas?

I am not suggesting you drop your bling and rocks into the nearest Sue Ryder, but whilst we all go mad at the tills at this time of year, it’s worth considering charity too.

A number of charity shops offer great brand new gifts and the chance to help others at the same time. See ‘Oxfam Unwrapped’ for more gift ideas.

If you have finished work for the year, why not have a sort through your wardrobe – to make room for that jumper that’s definitely coming…

Drop your unwanted into Oxfam, even if it’s high end clobber. Oxfam have cannily introduced their Oxfam online shop, selling the very best cast offs. There are items currently on sale by Prada, Jimmy Choo, Versace and more.

How about a pair of Vera Wang platform sandals for less than £30? You may need to make more room in that wardrobe.

Truly, guilt free shopping.
