Trafalgar Square’s main attraction is Nelson’s Column, sure. But what about Albannach?
What’s Albannach?
It is quite possibly the best attraction in Trafalgar Square, a hidden gem that you need to discover for yourself. Albannach, whisky bar and restaurant is a place to relax, take in the views and enjoy some outstanding whisky.

Simply swanky, the décor is comfortable and cool. With a world beating collection of Scotch Whiskies for you to sample, Albannach can also boast the most fantastic Best of British fine dining cuisine.
The menu is seasonal, with a great choice. If you take my advice, focus on the steaks. In fact, I challenge you to find a better steak in Central London!
Albannach also has an elegant private dining room for a more intimate and luxurious meeting area and the sensational A-Lounge showcasing some of London’s most extraordinary nights with special guest bands performing live every Thursday and DJs taking centre stage every weekend.
You could also turn yourself from a whisky novice into an expert with the Albannach Whisky master course. Each Albannach Whisky Master Course Package includes a free Albannach tasting set.
I’m not saying don’t enjoy Nelson’s Column, but I feel there are far more enjoyable things to do in Trafalgar Square….Go and treat yourself!

Situated just 5 mins walk from the bustling Baker Street tube you’ll stumble across one of London’s original, quaint villages. Marylebone village is lined with high end boutiques and personality, which oozes class at every turn. Orrery (an exclusive d&d restaurant) fits right in here and is situated near the top of the High street above its very French delicatessen on the ground floor.
We arrived at 6.30 where there was a wine tasting class going on downstairs, we were half tempted to join in – it looked fantastic fun. Having pulled ourselves away, we headed up to the restaurant and were greeted by an incredibly enthusiastic team of people. In terms of first impressions, the restaurant has a unique welcoming ambience to it, maybe it’s the lighting, maybe it’s the acoustics, possibly the delicious smells that greet your nostrils when you arrive… or maybe it’s knowing that you are in for a right royal treat that d&d restaurants are renowned for consistently delivering!

The Yacht is a London private members club which focuses on business and philanthropy with a generous sprinkling of fine dining.

The Yacht London is the Epitome of Business mixed with Pleasure.
Located on as the “Mayfair of the river”, a short distance from the Houses of Parliament and where the City meets the West End. The yacht is a permanently moored luxury steam Yacht
The terrace area on top of the Yacht allows views of Millennium Bridge, the Wheel, the Tate Modern, the Oxo Tower, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, the NT, the Gherkin, St Paul’s – all of London’s most prestigious landmarks close to the river Thames.
A major restoration project, The Yacht has been carefully restored in close consultation with English Heritage and PLA Archivists to bring it back to its former glory, retaining many original features of the Art Deco era with a twist of contemporary design.

A fine dining restaurant serving modern British cuisine with European influences is possibly the most impressive aspect of this exclusive club. Head Chef is James Sheridan, who has previously worked under several Michelin Star Chefs.
The Yacht London is owned by Prince Nicholas Khan- Roper and Jason Khan. The inspiration and reason for this exclusive London private members club is their late auntie, former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
After she was assassinated, the owners wanted to make her proud. I’m sure that they have succeeded.
