Pan Asian restaurant/bar, Tamarai, in London’s Covent Garden just keep on delivering.

Although you probably wouldn’t consider this restaurant for a Covent Garden cocktail, this is the place to be. Tamarai have mastered the art of the perfect cocktail.

International Woman’s day is fast approaching (8th March) and in recognition, Tamarai have produced an exquisite fruity and feminine drink - Mon Cherie.

This female specific cocktail is fantastic for a girls night out and to help celebrate the global day highlighting the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

Here’s the awesome recipe for Mon Cherie:

I have it on really good authority that the best steaks in London come from JW Steakhouse.

JW Steakhouse is at Grosvenor House, a seriously swanky hotel in Mayfair. The restaurant is renowned for authentic American steakhouse cuisine, and as I said, some serious steaks.

The steakhouse has put together a special Valentine’s Day Menu. The highlights of the menu involve sharing, and for Valentine’s day, it’s just perfect.

With a complimentary glass of Taittinger Rose Champagne to start, diners will indulge in a sumptuous three course meal commencing with a choice of an Endive Salad, cream of celeriac soup with wild mushrooms and truffle oil, JW Maryland Style Lump Crab Cakes.

For the ultimate Valentine’s starter, a Seafood platter for two, complete with oysters, crab, jumbo prawns and lobster.

Oh man!

For the main course, the menu highlights include JW Steakhouse’s signature steak, a dramatic 1500g on-the-bone “Tomahawk” Rib Eye steak for two, sure to dazzle the finest of steak connoisseurs, as well as a wild Sea Bass with Champagne sauce and caviar.

The Valentine’s Day menu offers a host of delectable side dishes including steakhouse classics such as roasted root vegetables and fries, in addition to JW’s renowned creamed spinach and Bourbon sweet potato mash with marshmallow crust (what?!!!) – sweet enough to tempt any Valentine honey.

For Dessert, guests can choose from timeless steakhouse fare such as JW’s phenomenal cheesecake, winter fruits of the moment or a warm brownie pudding.

The Valentine’s Day menu is £69 exclusive of service.

Pan Asian restaurant, Tamarai, has been voted “best pan Fusion Food in London” by The Evening Standard. But it is so much more than a restaurant.

Like the Lotus flower it is named after, Tamarai adjusts from being a fine dining restaurant to a late night wine bar, complete with Video Jockey! The metamorphosis is a very clever and functional idea.

You do not have to leave after dinner to go and find a club!

If you are looking to impress your other half this Valentine’s, Tamarai is more than an ideal destination.

Manish Mehrotra, Head Chef has taken inspiration from the beauty, flavours and mysticism of the Far East to create a sumptuous and evocative Valentine’s Day Menu. The result comprises an indulgent three-course meal against a romantic and aromatic atmosphere.

If you are hungry, look away now. I am going to run through this seductive menu!

Knoll House in Dorset is a quintessentially English Hotel that oozes charm and character. Since it was Enid Blyton’s favourite hotel it’s not surprising that this is a place for children to have old fashioned adventures with a pirate ship in the garden and the beautiful beach of Studland Bay within walking distance.  A trip to the beach begs for ginger pop and slabs of Madeira cake. It’s the kind of place that….well your parents would be proud of and your kids need duffle coats to look the part.

Knoll House is definitely unique. Widely regarded as ‘Britain’s original Family friendly hotel’, it owes its charm to the Ferguson family, proprietors for 80 years and guardians of Knoll’s inimitable style.
