The Babylon Restaurant at The Roof Gardens is a superb setting, tucked away on the 7th floor and high enough to take in London’s skyline. My only complaint with our dining experience was that the heavy rain had somewhat blinded our tremendous view and drenched us before we even entered this fine venue but we were seated right beside the roaring fire and I was ready to begin my seafood feast!

The A la Carte menu looked delicious and I chose wisely from the starter and main course list while I sipped slowly on my Sex on the Roof long cocktail. The staff, especially our waitress couldn’t have been more attentive and helped recommend the finest of foods which were perfect for our palettes throughout the evening.

The Mint Leaf is a luxury Indian Restaurant tucked away on London’s busy Haymarket Street in London. As soon as you walk through the door you are blown away by its cavernous ambience and contemporary attitude towards Indian cuisine.

image

Whilst the restaurant has a definite modern and contemporary buzz to it, there is a clear feeling of traditional Indian values from the moment you sit down and are greeted by incredibly polite waiters.

As a British foodie I like a good curry… but this is no ordinary Indian restaurant! This is the pinnacle of curry houses offering flavoursome and authentic spice all the way. The food is fresh, full of taste and the menu has clearly been thought out extremely well with something to tantalise every taste bud.

It’s not surprising that The Mint Leaf has a string of accolades to its name as well as attracts celebrities from all over the World.

Ohhhh.. and don’t forget to taste some of the delightful cocktails on offer… probably some of the best in London and I’m really not kidding!

Managed by international restaurateur Jeffery Chodorow, Asia De Cuba is a hidden gem within the highly regarded St Martins Hotel situated on St Martins Lane, London. It’s at the heart of theatre country in the West End and is the perfect location for a business lunch; well lit, great foods, fine wines and an ambience that reflects that of an uber chic library!

Asia De Cuba is renowned for their luxury and innovative Bento Boxes which offer a taster of a number of different culinary treats.  With four box options to choose from you can experience seafood, vegi, caribean styles or perhaps their own Signature box.

We recently tasted the Asia De Cuba experience and were hugely impressed with the fusion of flavours and would certainly recommend. Expect to pay around £30 / head for lunch with a Bento box… but also be prepared to be left completely satisfied with some of the finest bites in the West End!

To mark the 150th anniversary of Boucheron, La Maison Du Chocolat were recently called in to recreate the unique style of a Boucheron snake necklace… but in chocolate!

The chocolate version is truly a work of art directed by the Creative Director of Chocolate at La Maison du Chocolat. It’s not all chocolate though… it has a The 20.08 carat tinted yellow diamond for a tongue.

We were recently invited to go and see the necklace in its full glory (and try a few chocolates of course) at the London flag ship store. Heavily guarded, the necklace is on a tour around the globe which includes locations such as Japan, Russia, India, America as well as a few other exclusive locations.

It’s for sale too… at £600,000! We were advised by the Commercial Director of Boucheron that there has been some interest in the piece, but it recently endured a slight problem in Japan when all the flashes from the Japanese paparazzi started melting the snake!

Would you wear it? Ermmmm… nope and I probably wouldn’t eat it either (although it’s gonna be delicious). No doubt it will make a nice valentines gift for a billionaire!
