I’ve recently stumbled across a jewellery designer called Rachel Galley who produces some of the most beautiful, girly pieces I’ve seen in a long time. At only 27 she has won Coutts London Jewellery week New Jeweller Award for 2009, and I can see why!
Rachel’s ‘collections’ celebrate a special time in one’s life and make an original gift or keepsake. She has already worked for some of the most prestigious brands in the luxury market such as Links of London, Stephen Webster and Broodles before setting up her own business two years ago in a Studio at Cockpits Arts. Rachel comments –
“I was always asking to borrow my mother’s rings, I would offer to tidy her or my Grandma’s jewellery box, I was a bit of a magpie.”

I am a major fan and follower of Hello Kitty, and would seriously jump up and down with joy if I owned a piece of the Kimora Lee Simmons For Hello Kitty jewellery collection! Made with precious gemstones and diamonds, you can choose from rings, necklaces and watches and see the much loved Japanese character sparkle and dazzle in front of your eyes.

Zodiac Kitty – Cancer, $750
Showing that Hello Kitty is not just for kids, as this glamorous collection very much proves, you can pick diamonds ranging from .10 to .23 carats on a 18” silver chain from the Zodiac Kitty section, or can have a piece from Princess Kitty where she bears either a pink or yellow sapphire crown! The watches come with diamonds or without – but personally, I’d choose the one with diamonds.

Believe it or not there is a huge demand to buy someone a gold bar this Christmas. Thanks to the banks being in all sorts of trouble coupled with the price of gold at a low, it makes sense to put your money into something well…. SOLID!
Not as fun as opening the garage on Christmas day to find a brand new Porsche… but a sensible option none the less.
The gold bullion bars themselves are as you would expect them, blinking heavy and very shiny and prices start from as little as £30 for 5 grams.
